Requirements for Vehicle Rental
- To rent a vehicle from Car Hire in Coventry, drivers must be a minimum of 21 years old, though age restrictions may differ depending on the vehicle type. A valid driving licence, appropriate for the chosen vehicle category, is required, along with proof of current address and identification. Payment details and a security deposit must also be provided, in addition to any other conditions outlined in the Rental Agreement.
Booking and Payment Process
- Reservations can be made via our website, by phone, or at our Coventry office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The remaining balance and a security deposit are usually payable upon collecting the vehicle. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with secure processing through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection in Coventry, it is your responsibility to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage right away. A vehicle condition report will be completed and must be signed by both parties. 7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- The vehicle must not be used for any illegal activities. Engaging in racing, off-roading, or other risky behaviors is prohibited. Transporting hazardous materials or sub-letting the vehicle to unauthorized individuals is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Additionally, the vehicle should not exceed its designated passenger or weight limits, and travel outside of agreed geographical boundaries requires prior authorization.
Breach of these rules may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Coventry is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the amount paid for the rental in the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
